Spending That Money to Hopefully Make That Money

All my life I have heard this phrase time and time again. “You gotta spend that money, to make that money.” I figured it made sense to spend a bit to make your dreams happen. We don’t live in a free world. But this statement’s larger meaning didn’t quite hit me until I started running my own account on a site and opening my own website.

My Website: simplesilhouettesandwonderfulwords.company.site

Don’t get me wrong. I am very happy with how things are playing out and how much work I’m putting out there. The only tough part is getting the right amount of attention for my work. I’m nowhere close to breaking even between my money spent and my money earned. But this is where most people need to decide where they will draw the line. Is the benefit still outweighing the cost? Truthfully? Yes. Yes, it is.

I am beyond proud with the amount of work I’ve completed with my art, and my writing, too! I started this artistic journey knowing it wasn’t going to be a free ride, so this struggle is only a minor distraction. (My current struggle is I sealed my E6000 cap on the container and got a hole in the tube somehow. And the glue dried up so it automatically became useless. More money spent this morning!) It’s not easy but it’s still worth it.

These words I’m sharing with you this morning is meant to encourage you to keep working hard. There are going to be bumps in the road. Sometimes it won’t seem worth it. Sometimes you will become discouraged. Those are the times you need to take a breath. Step away. Then clear your mind of those bad thoughts. Some days the struggle will be real, but pushing through those moments only proves how serious you are to complete the task at hand.

WORK HARD AND NEVER GIVE UP!!
